The Book Flask. A Pleasant Surprise by James Dixon. Made in metal, covered in Artistic shades of Batik leather, gilt edges and corners. It was possible to remove one of the corners and there is a nozzle through which the liquid could be poured. It was also possible to buy a gilt funnel. The title on the books was “A Pleasant Surprise” by James Dixon. Customers own titles and names could be put on at an extra cost of 1/6 each. There were 3 capacities of 4ozs / 8ozs and 24ozs and they cost 36/6, 40/- and 77/3 so not cheap!
